At Positive Planet, we’re passionate about enabling our clients to make meaningful and impactful change, for the good of the planet and its people. Our teams are experts in helping organisations to measure their environmental impacts and develop strategies and training to improve sustainability and reduce carbon emissions.
But time is of the essence when it comes to preventing and reversing the effects of climate change and we know that the only way to reach global targets is to work together. That’s why we’ve partnered with a range of reputable charities and organisations in the UK and further afield that need your support to continue their fantastic environmental work. We are connecting businesses with the desire to accelerate their positive impact, with the experts and inspirational projects that can make it happen.
We are proud to be supporting a wide range of exciting and vital projects from environmental research and education through to habitat restoration and reforestation*. Browse our current projects here and start accelerating your impact today.
If you would like to talk to our team about how we can help you get started on your reduction journey please get in touch, or for existing clients looking for support with your ESG direction visit our Align Your Impact page.
*Please note that the majority of projects we support are not carbon offset schemes and cannot be used to offset your business emissions. Our projects are meant to support a much broader range of environmental and social projects than purely offsetting can. They should be considered as an addition to internal carbon reduction and sustainability projects, not instead of.

FAQs
We take a small fee on all purchases through our website to cover project research, partnership engagement, fund development, admin and certification. Our aim is to keep this fee as low as possible to enable access to projects for all sizes of organisation and budget. Our partners may also take a fee for development and management of projects. Please see each project for fee breakdowns.
We do not make a profit on impact fund purchases through our website, choosing only to cover our costs to make it more accessible to organisations. The Impact Fund was created to offer additional value to the support we offer to existing clients. We instead make our money through our optional value-add ‘Align Your Impact’ service, for organisations that would like more hands-on advisory support.
How much your organisation decides to give will depend on various factors, however, we recommend that where able companies give a minimum 1% of profits to positive projects.
Yes, you are welcome to contact our partners directly to see whether they are able to accept your donation. Our main goal is for fantastic projects to gain the funding they require. However, we often find that organisations are unable to take donations below a minimum value due to the planning and admin involved. This is one of the core reasons why we developed an impact fund able to crowd-source funding from multiple organisations; enabling everyone to accelerate their impact regardless of budget!
We combine the funds of multiple organisations and send the funding through to our partner organisations monthly, or once the minimum funding threshold is met (whichever is latest). We maintain a robust audit trail so that we can prove your money is going towards the great causes we promised. Our partners provide us with proof of purchase certificates and we assign these serial numbers to client purchases, making sure there is no double counting or underfunding. You can request to see this audit trail at any point.
Positive Planet commits to making up the difference in any underfunded projects when we choose our own impact projects quarterly. These projects will then be retired as funding options on our website due to insufficient interest. So rest assured, your projects will be funded!
The definitions of carbon neutral and carbon negative differ depending on who you talk to, meaning that these certifications may be easily misunderstood and lead to false claims. We used to offer these certifications and are fully confident that we were offering the highest standards in the industry. However, until standards are defined more clearly across the board and consumer understanding is improved we prefer to focus on impact rather than certification.
The other reason we do not offer these certifications is because they could promote the idea that funding offsetting projects is the only way to have a positive impact on the environment, beyond changes you can make within your own operations. In reality, there are many varied ways to enhance your organisation’s impact on the planet, so we want to make sure we’re providing choice and the opportunity to support projects you really believe in.
